HOW DO I ENTER THE DRAW IT WITH ME ART CONTEST?
Simply fill out the submission form online on the SUBMIT ARTWORK page, upload your artwork, agree to the terms and conditions and pay the fees by the deadline.
HOW MANY WINNERS ARE THERE AND WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?
• Three Member's Choice Award winners will receive a $250 cash prize, a free copy of the Annual and admission to a live workshop.
• One First Place Prize winner in each media category for each age group will receive a $200 cash prize, a free copy of the Annual and free admission to a live workshop.
• One Honorable Mention in each media category and each age group will receive a free copy of the Annual and a 50% discount on an upcoming live DIWM workshop.
WHO CAN ENTER THE DRAW IT WITH ME ART CONTEST?
The DIWM art contest is for youth ages 8-20. The contest is broken up into three different age categories: 8-12, 13-16 and 17-20.
WHAT ARE THE UPLOAD REQUIREMENTS FOR ONLINE SUBMISSIONS?
Follow the below guidelines when submitting your piece of art.
- Resolution: 72dpi
- Format: .jpg .jpeg .png .gif
- Dimensions: 1020px minimum width/height required (1280px minimum width/height preferred). All submissions should be high quality, non pixelated images
- File Size: 5MB max
WHAT ARE THE ENTRY FEES TO SUBMIT MY WORK?
There is a single entry processing fee of $1 per work. If five (5) or more works are entered at $1 per work, a sixth (6) entry will be offered at no cost. All submissions are final. Once the work is submitted, there will be no refunds.

• Cash Prize Awards
• 2020 DIWM Annual Publishing Costs
• DIWM Website Creation & Maintenance
• Contest Marketing
• Payment to our Professional Judges Panel
IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MANY ENTRIES I CAN SUBMIT?
No. Individuals may submit as many entries as they would like, but each entrant will need to pay $1 per work for processing. If five (5) or more works are entered at $1 per work, a sixth (6) entry will be offered at no cost. Only one free entry will be offered per entrant.
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT FOR THE 2020 DRAW IT WITH ME ART CONTEST?
Entries must be received and paid for no later than 11:59pm MST on December 31, 2019.
HOW AND WHEN CAN I VOTE FOR THE MEMBER’S CHOICE AWARD?
All voting will take place January 2020. To cast your vote simply create an account on our website, go to our CONTEST GALLERY page, select your favorite image and click on the “My Vote” button. Each registered account may vote for one entry in each age category.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF I WAS SELECTED TO BE IN THE ANNUAL?
In February 2020, an email will be sent to all those who submitted artwork letting them know whether they were selected to be in the Annual or not.
DOES EVERYONE WHO SUBMITS ARTWORK TO THE CONTEST GET INTO THE DRAW IT WITH ME 2020 ANNUAL?
No. The jury will collectively decide on which pieces of art get included in the Annual. However, all eligible entries will be showcased on the CONTEST GALLERY page on our website upon submission.
CAN I EMAIL MY ENTRIES OR SUBMIT THEM ON A THUMB DRIVE OR CD THROUGH THE MAIL?
No. All entries must be submitted online through the DIWM website. Please visit the DIWM SUBMIT ARTWORK page to submit your work.
CAN I SUBMIT ARTWORK THAT CONTAINS LICENSED CHARACTERS SUCH AS BATMAN, SUPERMAN, ETC?
No. Individuals should only submit original artwork where the person submitting is the copyright holder. We can not publish any work that potentially infringes on the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of another person or company without their written permission.
CAN I SUBMIT IMAGES THAT CONTAIN EXPLICIT SUBJECT MATTER SUCH AS GORE, VIOLENCE OR GRAPHIC/EXPLICIT NUDITY?
No. This art contest is for youth, so any explicit subject matter will be rejected and will not be judged or posted on the website. See CENSORSHIP GUIDELINES.
